In the press: gwf Gas+Enegrgie reports on HYTING´s second customer installation.
HYTING has commissioned the second customer installation of its catalytic hydrogen heating technology. At a production facility in Markkleeberg, two air-heating units with a combined heat capacity of 80 kW have been deployed, marking a key step in the company’s commercial rollout.
The system operates in a hybrid configuration with a heat pump. While the heat pump supplies the base load, HYTING covers peak demand during low outdoor temperatures. This reduces grid connection capacity and demand charges by 70% and allows a smaller and more efficient sizing of the heat pump.
The installation is used by two companies at the site, enabling targeted heat supply across different production areas. Compared to the first installation, the system delivers eight times higher capacity and marks the first customer deployment of HYTING’s 50 kW platform.
With this installation, HYTING demonstrates how hydrogen can already be used to decarbonize heating in commercial and industrial buildings while reducing costs from day one.
